Holiday Weekend

What do you do on a long holiday weekend when you remarkably have very few plans? WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT!  Which is quite lovely indeed.

And so, the weekend included a slue of activities surrounding the weekend plan: "Whatever we do, it is going to be fun and exciting."
And so we....

  • Rented a paddle boat and attempted not to look like total idiots running into every rock and duck we saw...

  • Took a trip to the Farmer's Market
  • Tried a fun new workout class on spin bikes that move from side to side and turn as you turn. Hard to describe, but a great workout. And fun. Trust me, it really is fun.
  • Visited a pool/water slide park and rode the slides with friends. No, there were no children with us. And no, we didn't care. Yes, I am 27 and still love water slides, swimming pools, and all things water related. We even convinced Chicken Little (aka Jeremy) to ride the slides. (convinced him by demonstrating that the slides were being enjoyed by small children. So, surely he would survive if he rode them)

  • Tried another great new restaurant (delish! I highly recommend it!) and then saw some fireworks with my family.
A perfect weekend full of exciting activities. Lovely. How did you spend your 4th of July?
